// How It Works

How It Works

Rando has three visible modes: ongoing holder rewards, the live Survivor Mode elimination game, and the completed Cipher campaign. Each mode uses public proof so people can see what happened and where rewards went.

Default Mode
Holder Rewards
Bags routes 50% to the Rando dev wallet and 50% to the reward vault. The active holder winner is paid automatically from the vault after threshold.
View holder rewards proof →
Live Mode
Survivor Mode
Everyone who solved a Cipher riddle without winning a prize is in — 193 contestants, cuts every 12 hours seeded by Solana blockhashes. The eliminated predict the winner from the Afterlife. Last one standing takes half the vault; correct predictions split the rest.
View Survivor Mode →
Completed
Cipher Mode
Ten days of partner riddles turned into verifiable reward draws. Every daily winner was paid 1M partner tokens + 24h of Bags fees; perfect players entered the grand prize draw.
View cipher results →
Automated holder payouts
Holder rewards are paid from the reward vault after threshold.
Live campaign rewards
Survivor Mode turns creator fees into a growing prize vault, split between the last one standing and the Afterlife.
Public proof
Holder, Cipher, and Survivor reward activity stays publicly visible.

Lore

$RANDO turns trading fees into randomized rewards. A memecoin. A challenge. A proof.

Lore

$RANDO started as a challenge from FinnBags. Built from scratch in nine days, with no prior coding experience.

FinnBags challenge conversation

Fees route to a randomly selected holder meeting the minimum threshold. No tiers. No whale privilege. Just pure, equal randomness.

// The Age Before Guardrails

There was a time when AI produced images that should not exist. Creatures assembled from borrowed parts. Too many fingers. Too many eyes. A refusal to obey physics.

It was wrong. It was exactly what the internet needed. Then the models were trained to behave. The impossible became merely improbable. Nightmare fuel became stock photography.

$RANDO lives in that era. R.A.N.D.O. was not designed. Not prompted carefully. He simply appeared, the way things did before the guardrails went up. We found him. We built around him. He seems fine with it.

R.
Random
Every winner. Every outcome. Every image he's made of.
A.
Ai
From an era when AI was still figuring out how many eyes things have.
N.
Nonsense
The wheel. The gears. The koi. No one asked for any of it.
D.
Dopamine
Why you held. Why you're still holding. Why you'll hold again.
O.
Overload
What the early internet felt like. What this coin is trying to bring back.

Survivor Mode

Every correct Cipher answer earned a seat. The chain cuts them down. The eliminated predict from the Afterlife. One survivor takes the crown.

How the draw works · provably fair

  1. The schedule is locked. Each daily cut has a fixed UTC time written into the contest config when it's created. The operator can't postpone, skip, or pull a cut forward.
  2. The seed is set by Solana, not us. At each scheduled cut time, the backend asks Solana for the first finalized slot at or after that time + 60 seconds. The block hash of that slot — 32 bytes set by validator consensus — becomes the RNG seed. The dev wallet has no influence over that hash.
  3. The shuffle is deterministic SHA-256. The contestant list is sorted alphabetically (canonical order), then Fisher–Yates-shuffled where each swap index comes from SHA-256(blockHashBytes ‖ uint32_LE(step)). First N entries survive.
  4. Every cut writes a public receipt. Slot, block hash, candidate list, kept, eliminated — all recorded in proof_history. Anyone with the algorithm + recorded slot can re-derive the cut locally and compare. The dev can't quietly rerun a cut for a different seed.

Open algorithm: the shuffle runs in your browser using built-in Web Crypto SHA-256 — no server call. Press Ctrl+U (or Cmd+Option+U on Mac) to view this page's source code and search for demoPickSurvivors. That is the exact function that picks each cut. Run it in the demo below with any seed and you will get the same result every time.

Try the algorithm in your browser

Runs the same shuffle in your browser using Web Crypto SHA-256 — no server call. Re-running with the same inputs always produces the same result. Change any input to see how the output shifts deterministically. This is the exact algorithm that picks Survivor cuts.

Click "Run shuffle" to compute.

Gold tile = just cut, one Afterlife vote open until the next cut. Grey = window closed. Demo uses sample handles.
